IT Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure and support Cisco switching and routing environments.
• Manage wired and wireless network connectivity across the organization.
• Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure network availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Administer Windows and Linux server environments.
• Manage network security measures, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Support virtualization platforms and server infrastructure.
• Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and backup procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business operations and technology initiatives.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

• Cisco certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including switching, routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with wireless networking and Wi-Fi technologies.
• Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Knowledge of network security principles and firewall management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and modern infrastructure solutions is an advantage.
• Experience implementing and supporting secure, scalable network environments.
