Security Operations Manager

Our client, a global financial institution in Bahrain has a vacancy for Security Operations Manager for their Bahrain office.

• Primarily responsible for managing the Security Operations team in monitoring, analysing, assessing security events and vulnerabilities in the infrastructure (i.e., software, hardware, and networks).
• Primarily responsible for providing oversight and guidance during security incidents, ensuring root cause analysis is undertaken, and remediation plans are executed.
• Ensure incident monitoring, identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, and mitigation.
• Identify security exposures and develop mitigation plans.
• Assist in the enhancement of delivery and management of security platforms, including Endpoint Protection Platforms, Email Security Gateways, Web Proxies, Web Application Firewalls, IPS/IDS etc.
• Lead the security operations unit to implement secure enterprise systems and identify issues that could compromise data integrity or the security of the network.
• Collaborate with IT Services to develop and maintain secure technology platforms and to ensure the firm`s cyber security goals continue to be met.
• Lead and manage the Security Operations Center and a team of security operational staff members.
• Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework and provide continuous improvement to the Technology Security function.
• Create reports, dashboards, metrics for security operations and present to management, including providing executive management with compliance reports and audit findings.
• Provide security and design support to technology teams and ensure security controls.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a minimum of five years of leadership or management experience in a technical or security operational role (BFSI industry experience is preferred).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• ITIL (Preferred).
• Candidates should be based in Bahrain.
