TheInpatient Registered Nurse (RN)
The Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals admitted to the inpatient unit. The role ensures safe clinical practice, accurate documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans.
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, monitoring vital signs, and supporting daily living activities.
- Monitor patient conditions, promptly respond to changes or emergencies, and escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress in clinical records and EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes, participate in care planning, and support safe discharge processes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, procedures, and health management while providing emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention measures, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, quality improvement initiatives, and patient confidentiality policies.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, ethical practice, and a commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Valid Nursing License/Registration from the national regulatory authority (NHRA or equivalent).
- BLS certification (mandatory); ACLS/PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Minimum 3-5 years of inpatient/acute-care nursing experience.
