About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing, defect analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and testing methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
- Experience with performance or security testing is a plus.
