Location:

Manama, B13, BH. Full time on site position at Broad Grain Commodities Inc.

• Execution of chartering contracts, which include voyage/TC contracts.
• Ensuring voyages performed in compliance with relevant contracts with due consideration to commercial strategy, maximising profit for each voyage.
• Following up on post‑fixture activities and day‑to‑day execution.
• Monitoring vessel movements for execution of activities including bunker planning, appointment and coordination with agents, and obtaining necessary documentation.
• Preparation, negotiation and finalisation of laytime calculations; thinking out of the box to maximise dispatch and minimise demurrage.
• Handling voyage accounts for the ships including hire payments, freight payments, SOA and settlement of final voyage account with ship owner.
• Appointing agents, negotiating proforma D/A and reviewing/settling the final D/A documents.
• Coordinating with the Legal and Insurance team to minimise risk and exposure, settling disputes and claims timely.
• Coordinating with account and commercial department on payments, BL collection, tallying of financial statement and following up outstanding accounts.
• Liaising with ship master, ship brokers, bunker trader, port agents, marine surveyor and other service providers on day‑to‑day operation matters.
• Ensuring compliance to relevant maritime laws, industry standards and insurance matters.
• Working as operations PIC to update vessels ocean and port schedules, providing solutions to minimise delays / optimise smooth voyage performance.
• Monitoring vessel performance, analysing data and giving regular feedback to Management.
• Reviewing the stowage plans prepared by the master, studying vessel’s description and concluding to maximise cargo intake.
• Drawing and finalising charter parties.
• Assisting the chartering and operation manager as required.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
• Minimum two years of experience in dry bulk shipping industry with exposure to CP terms negotiation, laytime (dry bulk), Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic with strong analytical and calculation skills.
• Self‑driven, result‑oriented, positive outlook, imaginative to bring new ideas and solutions.
• Fast learner able to work under pressure.
• Integrity when dealing with confidential matters.
  
  Ability to negotiate with business partners.
• Ability to develop relationships with dry bulk counter‑parties, including owners, charterers, operators and brokers.
• Team player with strong work ethics and excellent communication and organisational skills.
