Position OverviewSky Bridge Tactical is seeking an experienced Transportation Specialist to support Naval Special Warfare Group ONE, Detachment Bahrain, in Manama, Bahrain.
The Transportation Specialist will arrange, coordinate, schedule, and track passenger and cargo movements supporting NSWG-1 Detachment Bahrain, Task Force 3, and deployed Naval Special Warfare forces throughout the CENTCOM theater. Responsibilities include strategic airlift, sealift, ground transportation, deployment and redeployment support, hazardous-material transportation, foreign-country clearances, and coordination with U.S. military commands, Government agencies, embassies, and transportation organizations.
This position requires a transportation professional capable of performing independently with minimal oversight in an OCONUS environment. The employee will not be armed while supporting this contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Arrange and schedule passenger and cargo movements supporting NSWG-1 Detachment Bahrain, Task Force 3, and deployed personnel.
- Coordinate transportation requirements with USTRANSCOM, Air Mobility Command, CENTCOM, SOCCENT, FIFTH Fleet, Military Sealift Command, SDDC, NAVTRANS, and other Government organizations.
- Coordinate strategic airlift, sealift, ground transportation, and line‑haul requirements.
- Support deployments and redeployments throughout the CENTCOM theater for exercises, training, contingency operations, and theater‑engagement activities.
- Ensure personnel and equipment meet Required Delivery Dates and other operational commitments.
- Coordinate movement aboard military, commercial, or contracted aircraft and vessels.
- Enter and manage passenger and cargo transportation requirements within applicable DoD transportation systems and Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data.
- Use the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System to coordinate TPFDD requirements for supported events.
- Use the Single Mobility System to track air, sea, and land transportation assets during all phases of movement.
- Coordinate passenger and cargo movements supporting Joint and Fleet exercises, counter‑drug missions, Joint Combined Exchange Training, unilateral training, and other operational requirements.
- Process all phases of hazardous‑material transportation by land, vessel, and commercial or military aircraft.
- Apply DOT 49 CFR, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and applicable military transportation requirements.
- Ensure transportation timelines are met and cargo arrives when required to support combat readiness.
- Coordinate theater and country‑clearance requirements for NSW personnel traveling to foreign countries.
- Draft and submit theater and country‑clearance requests using the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System.
- Review Travel Tracker and Individual Anti‑Terrorism Plans in accordance with applicable DoD foreign‑clearance requirements.
- Coordinate arrival and departure information with U.S. embassies, Defense Attachés, SOCCENT, Fleet commanders, and other appropriate organizations.
- Coordinate U.S. Navy and joint rotary‑wing and fixed‑wing aircraft support for exercises, operations, and training.
