AMI is seeking a Part time, 24 hour per week X-ray Technologist to join the teams in the Brick and Wall office locations! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice.
Part time, 20+ hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Holidays, 401k & retirement benefits.
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:
- Performing radiographic examinations as directed including general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures;
- Providing for the safety, health and well being of all patients, visitors and co-workers;
- Responding to emergency codes and life safety practices as established by the Practice and performs all other related duties as assigned to ensure that optimum radiologic care, efficient and orderly flow of patients and safe, expedient office operation occurs daily;
- Performing tasks on all assigned shifts to ensure that required patient and office record keeping is accurate, complete and processed as established by policy and procedure;
- Ensuring that working area equipment, both patient and non-patient related, is hazard-free and that materials and supplies are stocked and available;
- On a schedule determined by the chief technologist/office administrator, removes dirty gowns and linens from patient areas and washes/dries them on premises as per AMI policy. Must utilize cleaning substances as provided by AMI and as instructed to ensure sanitary outcome; and
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
The Part time, 24 hour per week position will provide coverage in AMI's Wall office location. Coverage will be assigned in Brick as needed.
The work schedule includes 9:30am-6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
QualificationsQualified candidates for this position must be a graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology and are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), with a current NJ X-Ray License. Candidates must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection. American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to the start of employment.
Must be able to adapt to changing technologies as they occur. Previous experience preferred.
