Temporary Senior Accountant

Hourly Rate: $40–$50/hour (based on experience)

Our non-profit client located in Northern Virginia is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations during a temporary staffing need. This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records and the timely processing of key accounting functions. The position requires the individual to work on-site 5 days per week.

• Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
• Manage cash receipts and complete bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including prepaids, depreciation, and accruals
• Support month-end close activities
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
• Collaborate with internal staff to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a temporary assignment environment

• Competitive hourly rate of $40–$50/hour
