Site Superintendent | Data Center Installation

Manassas, VA | On site | Contract | $72-101 per hour (pay rate based on experience)

Ashton North is recruiting a Site Superintendent to lead field installation on a hyperscale data center project in Manassas. This is a hands‑on field leadership role with authority over sequencing, crew assignments, production, lift‑plan approval, and stop‑work decisions.

You’ll direct work through an Assistant Superintendent, crew leads, and a Rigging Foreman. You’ll also coordinate with the general contractor and other trades while working closely with dedicated safety and quality managers.

What you’ll own
  • Plan installation of prefabricated structural and mechanical assemblies against delivery dates and room availability.
  • Maintain a three-week look-ahead, daily work plans, crew assignments, and production targets.
  • Oversee receiving, rigging, module setting, and second‑floor lifts through the Rigging Foreman.
  • Hold work at inspection points until QA/QC release and enforce the site‑specific safety plan.
  • Report daily production, manpower, delays, and open issues.
  • Lead crew onboarding and maintain clear handoffs if a second shift operates.
What we need
  • 10+ years of field construction supervision, including 3+ years as a superintendent or general foreman directing 40 or more craft personnel.
  • Experience installing prefabricated structural or mechanical assemblies, such as steel, overhead supports, containment, or modular equipment.
  • Experience directing rigging and material handling operations and coordinating with a general contractor on a large commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical site.
  • Ability to read structural, architectural, and piping drawings and manage look‑ahead schedules.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Construction and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.

Data center white‑space experience and NCCCO Rigger or Signal person certification are preferred.

Assignment details:

The anticipated start is November 2026, with work scheduled through project completion in May 2027. The standard schedule is five 10-hour shifts per week. Overtime is paid at 1.5× the hourly rate for hours over 40 in a workweek. Medical, dental, and vision coverage is available where eligible. Travel and per diem terms for candidates outside the commuting area are determined at offer.

The role requires regular work across an active construction site, including stairs, ladders, and aerial work platforms. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and meet site badging, background screening, drug screening, safety, and security requirements. Reasonable accommodation requests will be considered.

Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected status.
