DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA.
Up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus, Annual Tool & PPE Allowance, Pension & 401K and Stock Purchase Plan.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
- Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
- Basic Diesel Engine experience.
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
Salary rate commensurate with experience. EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONSApprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, Current relevant electrical certification, Locally valid driving permit, this position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCEBasic level field service work experience, Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products, High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience, Customer service experience
QUALIFICATIONSMonday - Friday 7am-4pm with overtime and weekend work
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
