This Electrical Engineer Associate will work as part of an engineering team to develop electrical design solutions to a variety of problems related to undersea systems. The position spans the technology development life-cycle, including requirements review, hardware design, hardware procurement, integration, test, and installation across lab facilities and at-sea platforms.
Specific responsibilities may include:
Support development of new electronic systems using existing hardware architecture.
Create and maintain electrical documentation, including Electrical Schematics, Cable Design Drawings, Interconnect Diagrams, Test Procedures, and other electrical documentation. Participate in Design Reviews.
Support production environment in researching obsolescence COTS and customer hardware to meet production requirements.
Apply technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals, or similar documents.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering from an accredited college, related discipline and/or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2+ years of professional experience.
- Proficient with electronic systems schematics, electrical circuit design, electrical cable design, electrical system troubleshooting - Knowledge of computer system design (servers, switches, power, packaging)
- Operation and use of standard test and measuring instruments.

- Possess good oral and written communication skills; and be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervision.
Desired

Skills:

- Experience with selection and integration of network servers, switches, fabric extenders, memory, power supplies into military grade cabinets.

- Experience in cable design and interconnect diagrams using Zuken E3 a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware development, integration and test.

- Familiarity with Engineering Change Control Processes, Zuken E3, EPDM, and Visio.
