Senior Business Development Manager | Metric DCX | Critical Projects

Metric DCX is hiring for a civil contractor specializing in large-scale site development and early works for industrial, mission-critical, and complex commercial projects in Northern Virginia.

• Lead estimates for site development and early works including mass grading, excavation, utilities, and stormwater
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for greenfield and redevelopment sites
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost models, unit pricing, and historical data
• Analyze drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and site constraints
• Solicit, level, and evaluate civil subcontractor and supplier bids
• Identify constructability risks, scope gaps, and value‑engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with operations on means & methods and execution strategy
• Support design‑build and negotiated pursuits, proposals, and bid handoffs

• 8+ years estimating experience with a civil / site development contractor
• Strong background in mass grading, earthwork, underground utilities, and stormwater
• Experience with large‑parcel, greenfield, or campus‑style developments
• Proficient in HCSS, Heavy Bid, AGTEK, Trimble, or similar tools
• Ability to interpret civil drawings, soils reports, and survey data
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
