Data Center Project Manager II, Critical Projects Implementation at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Responsibilities- Serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers as part of the Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team, which manages construction activity within operational data center spaces for critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize space, power, and cooling.
- Provide project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural; identify areas for improvement and act on data provided by the team and other organizations.
- Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges; contribute independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Lead projects that involve improving electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems; ensure alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals from direction through completion.
- 5+ years experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space (e.g., facilities with 24/7 emergency backup systems or similar).
- 5+ years experience in Construction or Project Management.
- 5+ years experience in on-site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) and vendor management.
- BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a similar technical focus.
- 5+ years experience in the technical field of power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Significant experience delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
