Architectural Design Technician

Pay: $38.46 - $50.96 per hour DOE

Day to Day Tasks and Routines

• Create layout designs in AutoCAD for tool installation projects
• Work directly with client to ensure machine layouts follow code, building standards and client standards
• Field verify layouts to ensure accuracy of designs
• Measure and record factory areas for as-building purposes

Here’s what you’ll need

• Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or related field
• 2–5 years of professional experience in industrial drafting and design
• Basic experience or familiarity with preparing design drawings across all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation, including associated project deliverables
• Experience with semiconductor tool installation
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills for client meetings and team collaboration
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Bachelor’s degree in CADD or related field
• Experience with innovative or complex design projects
• Prior experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong presentation and graphic skills
• Experience on small and large teams
• Experience with project scoping and development
• Experience with Navis Works and/or Revit BIM software
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base
• Passion for buildings and construction

• This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Manassas, VA
• Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday‑Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference
