Overview
Location:
Manassas, VA (Relocation Assistance Available)
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation;
Software Development and Testing;
System Integration, Testing and Evaluation;
Lab Management and Field Installation;
Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
- The candidate will work in an Agile environment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware and software.
- Performs system testing and evaluation tasks and activities.
- Provide support to system I&T engineers and technicians.
- Assist the system I&T engineering teams in isolating root cause of problems.
- Verify and validate issue resolution efforts.
- Perform basic hardware/software installation and maintenance tasks.
- Manage hardware and software configurations.
- Document system test results, failure reports, and documentation deficiencies.
- Perform build checkouts on a regular basis.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software related issues.
- Required:
Ability to work independently and in a team dynamic. - Required:
Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings. - Required:
Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment. - Required:
Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures. - Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizen required.
- Previous experience with submarine systems and subsystems.
- Working knowledge of Linux command line.
- Working knowledge with hardware stand-up to include wiring, server setup and switch installation.
- College degree (completed or in progress) in related discipline, and/or former military experience.
- High School Equivalence Entry – or intermediate-level employee and 0-2 years’ experience.
- Job Type: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week.
