The selected candidate will be eligible to work a hybrid work schedule after successfully completing an on‑site introductory period (up to 4 months).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Management- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team, including analysts and financial staff.
- Oversee all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the cooperative.
- Ensure strong internal controls, data integrity, and consistency of financial metrics and reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison between FP&A, department leaders, and executive leadership.
- Direct the annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning process.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of long‑range financial models and scenario analyses.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning, major initiatives, and corporate objectives.
- Lead financial impact analysis for new programs, rate design considerations, operational changes, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior leadership and the Board.
- Drive the development of financial dashboards, models, and visualization tools to support decision‑making.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of cost‑of‑service studies, capital planning analysis, and revenue projections.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Power Supply, and Member Services to evaluate financial impact of projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support power supply cost analysis, energy procurement planning, and cost allocations across functions.
- Collaborate with Accounting on monthly close, audit preparation, and financial compliance activities.
- Assist in rate case development, regulatory filings, and cooperative governance reporting.
- Prepare presentations and financial briefings for Board committees and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or utility financial operations; electric utility or cooperative experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis practices.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with Excel, financial planning software, ERP systems (NISC or SAP preferred).
- Skill in using business intelligence and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of data modeling, KPI development, and financial analytics techniques.
- Master’s degree, MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA.
- Experience with dashboards or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with RUS accounting standards, NRECA guidance, FERC standards, and cooperative governance models.
- Experience supporting rate cases, cost‑of‑service studies, or financial modeling in the utility industry.
