Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan, execute and be responsible for system integration, manual testing and installations of medium size/complexity/risk systems and/or projects.
• Develop a wide variety of automated test scenarios and integrate those into a continuous delivery workflow using technologies such as Tcl, Perl, Python, Shell, Linux, Client-UX.
• Use your knowledge of testing to influence better software design and promote good engineering practices, such as testability, accessibility, scalability and performance.
• Contribute to the evolution of the automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline.
• Contribute to the maintenance of testing infrastructure.
• Have the opportunity to develop yourself in a true Biz Dev Ops  agile environment; engaging in the product evolution, covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.
• Work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents.

• Expertise in Testing – automation, setup, execution, data analysis, test analysis.
• Expertise in writing test strategies and test plans.
• Experience with RHEL (Unix Linux) technology, including Python/Shell scripting.
• Experience with Java, Selenium, and/or Robot Framework.
• Expertise building CI/CD pipelines based on Jenkins, and integrating with Bit Bucket/Git and artefact repositories.
• Building Ansible playbooks and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.

This is a backfill position for this testing role. This role is critical for the Frontend FIN squad and leaving it vacant may impact project timelines and workload balance in the test team. The candidate in question will be working on the following projects and test environment automation activities:

• SEP activities – qualifying open source dependency changes (updates to libxml, libssh, zlib, etc.) – requires extensive E2E testing with edge systems.
• PE IMG upgrade for DVT, FINB, RP to 10.8.4 & reusables upgrade.
• FIN Over API Phase 4 qualification for output flow, enhance/build SI/Client regression suite for the same.
• Qualify network kernel parameter changes for RHEL 8 for RP.
• Setup RMA regression in Client.
• Setup TM regression in Client.
• RP release qualification.

This role is essential to meeting deadlines and delivering releases to production in a timely manner. This position also supports test environment automation effort. Filling this promptly will help ensure continuity and maintain the performance and delivery output of the team.
