The AWS Data Center Security team is looking for a creative, innovative, results-oriented program manager in the Northern Virginia/Greater Washington D.C area to lead security and security-systems projects and programs in the data center environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative and productive environment with a strong service-oriented culture among multiple diverse and highly skilled teams of project and program managers.
These teams are responsible for the design, installation, and evolution of physical security systems and programs including intrusion detection, access control/management, CCTV, screening, and emergency response.
A successful candidate will manage difficult, interdependent projects with regional impact. You will interpret Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards to assure proper mitigations are selected and implemented to meet regional challenges. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure each data center meets AWS physical security standards and ensure local security teams have the technical knowledge and resources to meet ongoing physical security missions.
Keyresponsibilities
- Project Management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
- Preparation of physical security project lifecycle management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out documentation.
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the AWS physical security program.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
- Balance performance metrics such as physical security system installation vendor service delivery, actual spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction, post-installation defect rates, and program analysis.
- Manage vendors for onboarding, RFQ, bidding, contracting, QA/QC, and support processes.
- Effectively and accurately manage multi-million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams and provide support for global initiatives.
