The Client is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Advanced Data Analytics team and contribute to enterprise‑level complex business solutions. As a Data Scientist at BAE Systems Inc, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting‑edge AI and machine‑learning enterprise‑grade solutions. You will design, develop, and deploy robust machine‑learning algorithms, including large language models, to solve complex business problems in supply chain, factory operation, workforce, and logistics.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end solutions of design, development, and deployment of robust machine‑learning algorithms, including large language models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Conduct data discovery and analysis by cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming raw data into usable formats, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Produce visualizations and insights with the goal of communicating to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Develop and train large language models using deep learning techniques, such as transformers and recurrent neural networks.
- Experience working with large datasets and high‑performance computing environments.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, statistical inference, and machine‑learning techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with cloud‑based data warehousing and big‑data processing (e.g., AWS Glue, Apache Spark).
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on generative AI and machine‑learning.
- Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications in AI.
- Experience with Agent + RAG system and its application in data science and AI.
- Proficiency in Python/R programming languages and popular machine‑learning libraries such as Lang Chain, scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, and PyTorch.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and others.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based services and solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Dataiku.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to ingest systems documentation (user guides, development manuals, DB ERDs, training material, etc.) and create an application data mapping to a business normalization standard called OAGIS, providing standardized data taxonomy and dictionaries for our Enterprise data mapping solutions.
- Experience facilitating standardization and interoperability using the OAGIS standard to enable data sharing between different applications.
