As a key member of the Software Development and Environment Support (SDES) Team, you will serve as both a contributor and a team lead, driving technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our development environments and supporting the success of our programs. As a skilled Dev Sec Ops Engineer, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the development and maintenance of engineering tools that support our domestic and international programs.
As a Dev Sec Ops Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Primary technical lead to manage and evolve our IBM Engineeering Lifecycle Management (ELM) instance on-premise hosted locally here at Manassas, VA.
- Evolving and maintaining existing infrastructure solutions, including Dev Sec Ops tools, Model Based Systems Engineering tools, and Orchestration and Virtualization Frameworks
- Providing support for infrastructure maintenance outages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Identifying and implement improvements to existing architecture, system workflows, and team processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance architecture, deploy new/upgraded tools, and ensure optimal performance
- Working independently with minimal direction, exercising latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignments

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 9+ years of professional experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Willing to learn and quickly come up to speed on IBM ELM.
- Demonstrated experience designing and improving environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops processes and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with Linux Operating Systems, including Ansible
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Java, C#, C, C++, Python, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams to articulate security concerns and solutions effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve security and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
