Responsibilities:

  • Manage the secure parts cage/stockroom, including organizing storage locations, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing access controls for sensitive/ITAR‑controlled items.

  • Pull, verify, kit, stage, and deliver materials/components to production work centers based on build schedules, work orders, and production requirements.
  • Issue and transact materials in the ERP system, maintaining full traceability for lot/serial‑controlled, calibrated, or shelf‑life items.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify low‑stock conditions, and initiate replenishment requests to procurement while minimizing excess/obsolete inventory.
  • Support production by resolving material shortages, coordinating substitutions with engineering/quality, and escalating issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards, ITAR/export controls, ESD protection, and other specifications during all handling and storage activities.
  • Perform receiving inspections as needed (in coordination with shipping/receiving) and update records for incoming materials.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending stockroom layout enhancements, kitting process optimizations, or inventory management tools.

Qualifications:

  • 2–10 years of experience in inventory control, stockroom management, kitting, or materials handling in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., Wind Chill) for transactions, cycle counting, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain high inventory accuracy in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with defense/aerospace standards including ITAR, AS9100, ESD handling, and shelf‑life management.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts).
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (active clearance a plus).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a team‑oriented production setting.

Desired

Skills:

  • Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or lean manufacturing principles.

  • Forklift certification or experience operating powered material handling equipment.
