The Packaging Mechanic ensures efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of pharmaceutical packaging lines. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, performing equipment changeovers, and ensuring adherence to cGMP, safety, and quality standards.

• Set up, adjust, and maintain packaging and pneumatic equipment for optimal production.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults; replace and test components as needed.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety policies, and documentation standards.
• Train packaging operators on machine operation, cleaning, and safety.
• Support installation of new equipment and general maintenance tasks.
• Work extended or weekend shifts as required.

Experience:

Salary: USD 60,000 – 85,000 per annum

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, and safe manufacturing practices.
• Skilled in reading blueprints and using standard tools and instruments.
• Basic computer proficiency; PLC knowledge preferred.
• Effective team player with good communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years’ experience as a Packaging Mechanic, including 1+ year in pharmaceutical, food, or supplement manufacturing.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and performing frequent bending and reaching.

Must comply with PPE requirements and work safely in environments with moderate noise, dust, and cleaning agents.
