Plant Maintenance Technician

Overview

Approximate hours: 6:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

• Promote Safety:
  Actively prioritize safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment:
  Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant, including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service. Perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures:
  Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations, maximizing production and minimizing interruptions.
• Monitor Processes and Materials:
  Oversee various aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
• Document and Record Information:
  Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports for plant equipment to keep preventative maintenance up to date.
• Perform General Physical
  
  Activities:
  
  Assist with plant operations through cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Preferred: prior experience in the aggregate or construction industry.
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production.
• Must be able to work overtime, extended hours, in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noise.
• Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

• Hourly range: $23.88 – $31.68 (plus discretionary bonus or equity).
