Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.
The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. Provides and documents patient care under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to educate patient and their support system.
- Analyze, modify, and implement strategies to progress the patient through the plan of care.
- Ensure completion of nursing interventions, medical orders, and other related therapies.
- Prioritize job duties according to patient needs and changing acuity levels.
- Consistently utilize appropriate communication tools within interdisciplinary team and during hand‑off of patient care.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members/internal customers to provide efficient treatment of patients.
- Operate various equipment including portable cardiac monitors, bedside commodes, etc.
- Provide routine nursing care such as starting IVs, performing dressing changes, and assisting in critical situations including administering CPR.
- Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients via wheelchair, hospital bed, or stretcher to other departments.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. 4‑Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
- Additional skills: basic nursing skills, charge responsibility, multitask, prioritize quickly, medication five rights, verbal and written communication, basic computer knowledge, safe and effective care for all patient populations.

Medium to Heavy Physical Demand. The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use safe handling equipment.
Additional NotesMay require the use of safety equipment such as HEPA mask for infection prevention. On‑call responsibilities as directed. Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed.
