Medical Oncology Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Our Medical Oncology technicians thrive in a fast‑paced environment, can multi‑task, develop excellent venipuncture skills, have high attention to detail, and gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.

• Assist in chemotherapy protocols
• Perform drug calculations for treatment plans
• Maintain the vertical‑flow hood
• Participate in clinical studies and trials
• Implement extravasation protocols and safety measures
• Administer chemotherapy, requiring excellent venipuncture skills and IV catheter placement
• Coordinate and manage client communication/education via phone and email
• Manage appointments, obtain histories, handle invoicing, patient discharges, and scheduling
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in medical records

• State‑registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required; previous oncology experience desired
• Proficient in pharmacologic calculations (drugs, constant‑rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Efficient in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
