Responsibilities
  • Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions or concerns quickly and courteously, and assist with gaming needs.
  • Support the visual and operational aspects of the store, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS computer system.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, and escalate issues to the Store Manager when needed.
  • Promote Game Stop’s guest‑benefit programs (reservation, trade‑in, Pro Rewards).
  • Help set service expectations for associates and train them on all store policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and address unsatisfactory performance.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines.
  • Ensure omni‑channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily.
  • Manage inventory, perform counts, restock shelves, and reconcile POS totals accurately.
  • Conduct bank deposits and process financial transactions in compliance with policy.
  • Enforce safety and loss‑prevention practices while protecting company assets.
  • Support the team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Adhere to all Game Stop policies, procedures, opening and closing protocols, and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising or related field preferred.
  • At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
  • Video‑game knowledge preferred.
