position overview

the synthetic turf line of business specialist will drive year-over-year growth in synthetic turf and synthetic turf accessories. They will also provide technical support to field business development managers, key account managers and store personnel as needed to help formulate solutions to customer technical issues.

what you’ll do:
  • participate in the sales process with business development managers and key account managers to grow the synthetic turf line of business
  • coordinate new/existing customer/employee training sessions and product demonstrations with vendors to deepen customer solution knowledge, and employee product knowledge, in the specialty line of business (lob)
  • complete detailed project planning and estimates for complicated, high-volume projects
  • constantly demonstrate professional and technical knowledge through speaking engagements, and develop customer/field support literature
  • leverage solution‑focused sales tools and processes to maximize growth with assigned accounts
  • partner with leadership and field support to understand the impact of emerging technologies and ways of working on business performance, and actively support and lead their implementation.
  • ensure that customers are aware of and fully utilizing all of siteone’s capabilities including siteone university, vendor support, and partner’s program.
what we are seeking:
  • 4-7 years’ experience of specific product line experience with synthetic turf installation or manufacturing
  • proven in-depth technical knowledge of specific product line and trends in the industry.
  • ability to communicate value proposition and differentiate siteone's products and services using professional presentation and communication skills
  • ability to think quickly and make decisions
  • must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • must be proficient in computer skills including microsoft office (excel, word, and power point)
  • ready and willing to learn and adopt, and encourage others to learn and adopt, new technologies and ways of working
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • college degree preferred
