Data Center Security Specialist, Data Center Security - AMER East

• Drive operational security excellence in several separate facilities located within a short driving distance.
• Detect physical security gaps and shortcomings, and coordinate resolutions immediately.
• Interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at hard data.
• Suggest improvements on electronic surveillance and access controls.
• Direct efforts to educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures.
• Write reports, create presentations, and communicate with management on the status of physical security operations.

• Experience with physical security best practices, including the application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and management of contract security guards.
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the administration and operation of access control systems (Lenel, Milestone) and CCTV systems with digital recording.

• College degree (bachelor’s) or background in one or more of: military (career/military police/ military special operations forces), law enforcement with arrest authority (police academy graduate), TSA security screening, correctional facility officer.
• 2+ years security experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 1+ year leadership experience.

The base pay for this position ranges from $52,400/year to $112,000/year, depending on geographic market.
