As a Security Officer – Access Control Tech Site in Manassas, VA

You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. This primarily driving post allows you to interact with visitors and staff, maintaining a visible presence and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation as you help create a secure environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting or denying entry based on established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site staff and visitors to maintain a secure environment, offering assistance and information as needed.
  • Utilize security-related technology and equipment provided at the location to support access control and surveillance functions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
