Building Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Professional to join our team dyman of Northern Virginia servicing the Arlington to Haymarket area. The successful candidate will ensure the safety, cleanliness, and optimal operation of our customers’ facilities.

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Conduct regular check-ups on HVAC units
• Carry out painting, drywall patching, and faucet repair
• Install and repair light fixtures, ceiling fans, and door handles
• Assemble furniture and other household items per manufacturer’s instructions
• Repair and replace damaged or worn flooring, tiles, and carpets
• Fix leaky pipes, unclog drains, and repair or replace toilets and sinks
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, replacing faulty switches, outlets, and fixtures
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Monitor building security systems and address any malfunctions

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision
• Good physical stamina, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write, present, and sell estimates to customers
• Residence within the Northern Virginia area, preferably in our service territory

Job type: Full‑time

Salary: $25.00 – $45.00 per hour

Service area: Northern Virginia

Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday with one Saturday per month

Supplemental pay: Bonus, tips

Experience: 10 years in construction (required), 15+ years preferred

Language: Fluent English (required)
