Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in Java/C++ on a Linux Operating System. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM field and at least 1 year of related experience.

- Development, integration, troubleshooting experience with the Linux/Unix Operating System.

- Experience in software development, integration, troubleshooting using Java.
- Experience developing scripts using Bash or Python.
Desired

Skills:

- RxJava or familiarity with related technologies (Kotlin Coroutines, Flow)
- Database experience (Mongo, Postgres, or other)
- Inter-process messaging middleware experience (gRPC, Artemis)
- Java multithreading experience
- 5+ years of a combination of Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management experience

- Experience with containerization or orchestration technologies
- Basic understanding of Agile Full software life-cycle development
- Ability to integrate, test and troubleshoot and refactor software systems
- Familiar with performance optimization and evaluation tools (JVisual

VM, JConsole, JProfiler)
