Position: PROCESSING DRIVER

Select Event Group is a highly respected event rental company. Partnering with the regions and nations most successful event professionals, Select is dedicated to building long term relationships based on operational excellence and a commitment to our Clients success. Select provides the widest and deepest array of event rental products and services available to event professionals. We currently have several openings for full time delivery drivers for our Rentals, Linens and Furnishings Division.

The driver position's main responsibilities are to transport, load and unload equipment to and from customer sites, terminal docks, and other assigned locations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Following the best practices for safety, while on the road and loading and unloading a truck
• Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries
• Drive a non-CDL delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule
• Meeting delivery deadlines
• Loading, securing, and unloading equipment
• When necessary, assemble/disassemble of equipment
• Obtain customer signatures when needed
• Document deliveries or log other information
• Follow DOT regulations
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications Include:

• 1 year of experience driving box or straight trucks
• Valid drivers license with a good driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening (background check)
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Must work well with others in a professional manner
• Must have a positive attitude
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively
• Must be able to utilize problem solving skills
• Excellent levels of time management
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb
• Should have knowledge of the Maryland, DC and Virginia area
• Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations/DOT guidelines
• Must be at least 21 years of age
