Overview

Posting details for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position. Location is CT State Community College, Manchester campus, 60 Bidwell Street, Manchester, CT 06040.

Hours:

Full-time, 10-month (30 credit hours per academic year). Closing Date:
Open until filled, with priority consideration for materials submitted by October 1, 2025.

CT State Manchester. This position is not remote.

Position Summary

All Teaching Faculty members shall prepare and teach college-approved courses, develop syllabi and reading lists, and keep courses up to date. They respond to multiple constituencies (students, peers, external agencies), perform divisional departmental responsibilities in selecting texts and resources, and fulfill other teaching and related duties as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Working supervisory level.

Responsibilities
  • Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year, across courses in the discipline area of study.
  • Evaluate and assess student learning; provide student support and academic advising.
  • Plan and execute program-related events; assist with program reviews; develop curriculum; assess teaching materials.
  • Attend workshops or conferences to maintain currency; deliver courses via lecture, hybrid, or online formats.
  • Recruit, advise, and retain students; hire and evaluate faculty; schedule program courses; establish partnerships with local organizations and employers; arrange and supervise internships.
  • Carry out program administration within contract hours; participate in convocation and commencement; serve on committees and task forces; attend relevant meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or a related discipline.
  • Three (3) or more years of clinical experience as a Radiographer.
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an instructor in an accredited Rad Tech Program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration and CT Radiographer License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Radiology or a related discipline.
  • Experience teaching radiography courses in didactic and clinical settings.
  • Experience with laboratory setup and curriculum development, program assessment, and evaluation.
  • Experience supervising faculty or staff; using technology to enhance learning (e.g., Blackboard, online instruction).
Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary:
Minimum salary $75,362 approximate annual, plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits. Salary based on qualifications and internal equity. Comprehensive benefits include generous leave, retirement plans, and health insurance. Tuition reimbursement may apply where applicable.
