Assistant Center Director:We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and qualified Assistant Center Director to lead our early childhood program. The ideal candidate will meet all Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing requirements and bring strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a deep commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the center, ensuring compliance with CT OEC licensing standards
Supervise, support, and evaluate teaching and support staff
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, children, staff, and the community
Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative tasks
Increase enrollment through community outreach, marketing, center tours, and participation in local events, fairs, and family-oriented programs
Ensure health, safety, and nutrition standards are met (including coordination of on-site meal planning and preparation)
Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions
Maintain records and documentation as required by state regulations
Qualifications:Must meet Connecticut OEC qualifications for Center Director:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required)
At least 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Knowledge of Connecticut childcare licensing regulations and NAEYC standards
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage a team and build a positive center culture
Certificate or Familiarity with food safety guidelines and meal planning in childcare settings (preferred)
