Finance ManagerA mission‑driven organization is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and support organizational growth. This role is ideal for a collaborative, hands‑on finance leader who thrives in an environment centered on service, community impact, and operational excellence.
Nonprofit experience is required. Medical or healthcare industry experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including AP/AR, payroll oversight, cash management, and general ledger maintenance
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Prepare financial statements, grant reports, dashboards, and board‑level financial summaries
- Manage annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop, monitor, and adjust annual budgets in partnership with leadership and department heads
- Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support grant management, including tracking restricted funds and ensuring compliance with federal/state guidelines
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision‑making
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with program, HR, and operations teams to support financial best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
- 3–7+ years of nonprofit finance/accounting experience — required
- Experience working with grants, restricted funding, and compliance frameworks
- Healthcare or medical industry financial experience — strong plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards (FASB, Uniform Guidance)
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books, MIP Fund Accounting, Sage Intacct)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in a collaborative environment
