Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Service, Manchester, CT
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Service provides crisis telephone triage & support, mobile crisis assessment and intervention in schools, homes, courts and other community settings. EMPS supports children & families in times of emotional, behavioral, and situational stress and focuses on prevention, early intervention, stabilization and diversion from hospitalization.
ABOUT THE POSITION: Clinical Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides case consultation, direction and leadership within the team.
- Ensures clients receive services that are focused on presenting problems and client requests for treatment.
- Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required.
- Monitors client meetings, admissions, continued stay and discharge criteria.
- Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.
- Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program.
- Facilitates team meetings.
- Participates in internal and external meetings as needed, delivering marketing, training and case consultation services.
- Ensures client, program and agency documentation and reports are completed in a timely manner and meet program, agency, funder and accreditation/licensing standards.
- Oversees chart audits and ensures all necessary documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Acts as primary point person for the program and provides backup or on‑call coverage as needed.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned, providing clinical direction and leadership to foster a collaborative and effective working environment.
- Ensures completion of insurance authorizations for services rendered.
- Actively participates in committees focused on service delivery and quality improvement within the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s or higher in a mental health related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 2‑3 years as a clinician. Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist required; for OTP programs only, LADC may be substituted for LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Licensed Psychologist.
Training: Experience in related program service preferred.
COMPENSATION: $64,326.15 minimum, commensurate with experience.
