Primary Purpose

The Supervisor, Distribution Operations provides leadership for the assigned department, ensuring a safe and engaged team at all times. This role is responsible for meeting operational and team objectives, ensuring safety, quality and production standards are met. It handles daily issues and projects under the direction of the Operations Manager and works with all Distribution Center Departments, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure timely movement of product.

and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and positive work environment ensuring associates are treated fairly and consistently, supporting a "Safety First" culture.
  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities of the department and assigned team.
  • Provide direct oversight for warehouse associates, managing team performance via coaching, feedback, and disciplinary efforts.
  • Partner proactively with applicable departments to ensure efficient and accurate flow of inventory in and out of the distribution center.
  • Monitor department staffing, adjust as needed, and assist in recruiting, staffing, and training activities.
  • Communicate with appropriate individuals/departments during shifts that may affect other warehouse departments.
  • Guide associates toward attaining individual and combined goals through hands‑on training.
  • Meet department operational and budget goals.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards in safety, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Provide feedback to leadership for optimization opportunities.

  • Distribution Center Systems, Equipment, Automation & Technology – Demonstrates understanding of systems, equipment, automation and technology.
Qualifications
  • 5 or more years’ experience in general distribution operations or a BS/BA in a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of business financial reports and information.

  • College degree preferred.
