Description
Basic FunctionPrimary responsibility is to oversee the daily plant operations.
Principal Accountabilities- Supervise, schedule, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and terminate maintenance and production personnel.
- Provides leadership, guidance and counseling to direct reports.
- Schedules production efficiency in combination with proper utilization of equipment and maintenance for high productivity while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Promotes and enforces safety throughout the plant, including attendance on Safety Committee, and review of safety audit sheets for compliance.
- Oversees all production policies, procedures, and methods.
- Required to assume on-call responsibilities.
- Coordinates the implementation of all process decisions affecting personnel or the process with the Quality Manager.
- Implementation and monitoring of inventory systems accurately portraying productive inventory and maintenance inventory.
- Review and submit punch detail, payroll adjustments including rate changes and any other matters affecting the employee’s pay.
- Participate in the facilities planning process as directed by Director of Operations including Objectives, Capital Requirements, Training, “People Plan”, and Spending.
- Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
- Oversees equipment maintenance and maintenance programs.
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of production and maintenance methods, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership responsibilities; ability to take initiative and make decision using logic and deductive reasoning.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Business Management or similar field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience of progressive responsibility within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior preventative maintenance experience including computerized systems.
- IATF
16949 experience. - Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with their position.
