Research Specialist B

Job Description Summary

Research Specialist B/C contributes to research projects by conducting wet lab and animal experiments, collecting and analyzing the data, maintaining research equipment and project resources. Experience with mouse models of tumor, cell culture, flow cytometry, PCR, and Western blotting are preferred. Prior work with immune cell phenotyping and functional analyses are highly desirable. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records is a must.

RS B/C will work under Research Director's and SRI's supervision.

Research Specialist B

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory research, troubleshoot problems, analyze data, design new research experiments along with research publications, and prepare presentations.
  • Participate in lab management and help support lab set up and operations, oversee ordering, organization and maintenance of reagents, equipment, and protocols.
  • Train and supervise other lab members as needed, provide scientific and technical expertise and guidance for other ongoing projects
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Research Specialist C

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and carry out experiments independently
  • Maintain general supplies for the lab
  • Carry out trouble‑shooting on experiments
  • Write sections of manuscripts and progress reports describing research results
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Maintain records of experiments
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Research Specialist B - Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Research Specialist C - Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Position continuation is contingent on continued funding.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
