The State of Connecticut, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), is currently looking to hire a part time Building and Grounds Patrol Officer for Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester, CT.

  Howell Cheney Technical High School (Manchester, CT)
• SHIFT:
  Part-time | first shift | 35 hours per week
• SCHEDULE:
  
  8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• NOTE:
  
  This is a ten (10) month position, returning to work once school resumes, following the summer break.

• Enforce regulations relating to parking and traffic control as established by the assigned agency;
• Direct traffic on state property;
• Issue tickets for violations;
• Provide information and assistance to visitors;
• Guard entrance and exits to prevent trespass, vandalism, theft and other violations;
• Perform routine vehicle and foot patrol duty and monitor security alarm systems to detect theft and other criminal acts;
• Provide security escorts;
• Provide first aid when necessary;
• Perform dispatching and record keeping functions at a desk post.
