Good Neighbor Society Marietta's Place Universal Worker - Medication Manager Overview of Role / Essential Job Functions Responsibilities Provide  assistance to tenants as outlined on each individual service plan and complete appropriate documentation

Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene and mobility

Medication assistance (Under the direction of the nurse)
Other medical needs

Personal Laundry Monitor the health, safety and well-being of the tenants.

Report changes in tenant’s functional status, personal needs, or health condition to RN on call Document information pertaining to changes in residents' functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc. in tenant chart as well as staff communication book.

Strip and make residents' beds weekly; launder residents' linen and towels, fold and return to residents.

Assist in preparing meals, serving meals and bussing tables, kitchen and dining room clean-up during mealtimes.

Clean residents' apartments on assigned days and as outlined in the service plan.

Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools and utensils.

Encourage socialization among tenants.

Wear a pager at all times and respond to tenant emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention/follow-up.

Clean common areas as scheduled.

Do Facility Laundry.

Clean vacated units in preparation for new tenants and assist with “Deep Cleaning.

Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.

Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.

Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors.

Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations, and personnel.

Assist in keeping the environment safe.

Identify supplies needed to perform tasks and report needs to supervisor.

Assist with the activity program; conduct activities as directed by the Activity Coordinator or assigned by the director.

Attend scheduled in-services and staff meetings and participate in committees as opportunities are available

Carry out other duties as assigned by the director.
