About the role

We’re looking for someone who loves working outdoors and takes pride in making a great first impression. As a Groundskeeper, you’ll help keep our property beautiful and inviting for everyone who visits or calls it home. From landscaping and upkeep to assisting with seasonal projects, your work helps ensure our community always looks its best — a place residents are proud to live.

Pay is based on experience — midpoint range is $17/hr .

How you will be successful

  • Keep all areas of the property clean and attractive, including common areas, walkways, hallways, breezeways, and amenities
  • Maintain curb appeal by removing litter, pet waste, weeds, cigarette butts, and performing minor landscaping cleanup
  • Assist maintenance technicians to ensure service requests are completed effectively, promptly, and to residents’ satisfaction
  • Report any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with preventative maintenance as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
  • Serve as an essential team member by assisting with snow removal
  • Support management in holding landscaping vendors accountable to contract standards
  • Maintain positive communication with residents and provide excellent customer service
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe

What you need

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience with groundskeeping preferred
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment
  • Proven track record of sharing ideas, providing encouragement, building on others’ ideas, giving due appreciation, and bringing out the best in others
