Position Summary
The Supervisor of Cash Posting is responsible for the operational oversight of the team that completes payment posting and reconciliation for all payment types. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant payment posting processes, supporting account resolution and Elliot Health’s financial health. The Supervisor monitors quality through regular audits and uses data to identify posting discrepancies, resolve workflow issues, and collaborate with revenue cycle leadership to implement process improvements that enhance cash flow and reduce accounts receivable.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities

- Supervise the daily operations of the cash posting team responsible for posting all payments, adjustments, and denials.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments in accordance with remittance advices, payer rules, and organizational policies.
- Direct staff in the application of payments, adjustments, refunds, balancing and reconciliation of all Elliot Health System’s cash and adjustments.
- Manage the processing of third party remittances, payments, and adjustments to the proper patient accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Oversee the daily reconciliation of lockbox deposits including checks, EFTs, and virtual cards.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments from the lockbox to patient accounts.
- Support audits and compliance by maintaining detailed records of lockbox activity.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field and/or equivalent experience - Experience:
3-5+ years of experience with progressive business office responsibilities, including cash posting and reconciliation
