Senior Accountant
Location: Manchester, NH (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
Our client, a growing company in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, solid accounting experience, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation for external auditors
- Monitor and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
- Assist with fixed asset accounting and inventory-related accounting functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work fully on-site in Manchester, NH
