Our client, a leading global financial services institution, is seeking a Cloud Fin Ops Analyst to join their Global Technology function. In this role, you will help shape the organisation’s cloud financial strategy, ensuring cloud resources are used effectively and costs are optimised. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams to deliver visibility, control, and value from cloud investments—enabling innovation while keeping costs aligned with business objectives.

Monitor and analyse cloud consumption to provide insights into usage, spend patterns, and optimisation opportunities.

• Partner with engineering teams to drive efficient cloud resource allocation and embed cost‑saving practices.
• Develop dashboards and reports that track cloud financial performance, enabling informed decision‑making.
• Implement and maintain cloud cost management tools, ensuring accurate reporting and visibility of spend.
• Support reservation management, budgeting, and forecasting processes across multiple public cloud platforms.
• Act as a liaison between Finance and Technology, helping stakeholders understand cloud costs and financial levers.
• Identify opportunities to optimise workloads, reduce waste, and improve efficiency of cloud operations.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in cloud financial governance and Fin Ops culture.

Essential

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within Financial Services Technology.
• Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS preferred) with hands‑on experience in cloud cost management.
• Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud cost dashboards and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Fin Ops principles, cloud pricing models, and optimisation levers (e.g., reservations, savings plans).
• Scripting skills in at least one language for automation and efficiency.
• Familiarity with financial planning, forecasting, and budget management processes.
• Understanding of how public cloud solutions are applied within the financial services industry.
