Machias Savings Bank is seeking a skilled and analytical Senior Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Credit team. In this role, you’ll evaluate and underwrite complex commercial loan requests and large credit relationships. You’ll analyze financial data, prepare loan offerings, and collaborate with loan officers to deliver exceptional service, all while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

• Underwrite complex commercial loan requests and relationships
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and industry trends
• Prepare credit narratives and present to approval officers and loan committees
• Maintain and update financial spreads in the loan underwriting system
• Ensure compliance with bank credit policy and government regulations

• Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting or related experience
• Strong financial analysis and Excel skills (including formulas)
• Working knowledge of GAAP and credit risk assessment
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills
