RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• License must be in hand at time of submission

• Work in 23-bed cardiac medical unit with 1 treatment room

• Patient ratios:
Days/Evenings 1:4, Nights 1:5

• Every other weekend schedule required

• Float within alike areas as needed

• Required certification: ACLS

• Must have cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience with cardiac medical procedural patients

• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, some rooms hard-wired

• Use EMR system (Allscripts) with medication scanning capabilities

• Equipment includes vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitors, mechanical lifts, and dopplers

• Care for hemodynamically stable MI patients, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset atrial fibrillation, stable dysrhythmias

• Handle procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations, ablations, cardioversions, ICD, pacers

• Manage cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips

• Also care for ICU transfers, neuro patients, and pulmonary patients requiring BiPap and high-flow oxygen

• Hospital scrubs dress code required
