** About the Job:
** The practice of mammography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Independently performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam.

* What You’ll Do:

*** Performs mammography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Mammography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
* Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
* Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
* Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam
* Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam
* Assists the interpreting physician as directed when involved with diagnostic procedures in breast imaging
** Who You Are:
*** Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technologist program, Required
* 3-5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, Preferred
* Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Required.
* Certified by ARRT in Mammography, Required
* Ability to obtain BLS during employment
