The Inventory Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of materials, products, information, and services from origin through delivery to meet customer and operational requirements. This role identifies and implements logistics strategies, ensures adherence to standard processes, and drives continuous improvement within warehouse operations and related inventory functions. The specialist performs a wide range of inventory transactions, resolves discrepancies, and builds effective communication channels with internal and external partners to support accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness.

What

You Will Do
  • Apply sound decision‑making principles grounded in MRP/ERP methodologies.
  • Execute a variety of inventory transactions related to the receipt, movement, and shipment of materials, products, and equipment.
  • Process receipts promptly to support production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of materials to manufacturing operations.
  • Build and maintain strong communication platforms and relationships with internal teams, external partners, and strategic customers to ensure commitments and operational objectives are met.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in SAP and EWMS (Electronic Warehouse Management System), ensuring accuracy of physical counts and system balances.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for inventory discrepancies and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on process discipline, compliance, and best practices to support inventory accuracy and operational integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by refining standard logistics processes and participating actively in process improvement teams.
  • Oversee Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) audit activities and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Regularly generate, interpret, and report key system health metrics to leadership.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, applying analytical tools to prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot system transaction errors and initiate timely corrective actions.
  • Monitor, review, and support subcontractor inventory management activities to ensure proper controls and compliance.
Qualifications – You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with end-to-end supply chain value stream.
  • Experience in inventory data, systems, or processes.
Qualifications – We Prefer
  • Logisticians Certification.
  • CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
  • Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
