Machinist 2nd shift

Do you enjoy working 2nd shift but want to have Friday night off? Come join our dynamic team as our new night shift Machinist! The hours are Monday – Thursday 2:45 pm to 12:00 am and Friday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and we offer a competitive shift differential!

We are currently looking for a 2nd shift machinist who will be producing complex machined components in support of production, engineering and development, and prototyping, as well as for fabrication and repair to production tooling. This ideal candidate will have experience as a CNC operator and be interested in the opportunity to learn CNC machine set ups, basic CNC programming, and true machinist skills.

Previous experience is a bonus but not required. This is a position that can offer learning opportunities beyond the core duties. The most important factor in a candidate is the ability and willingness to learn and grow.

• Set up and operation of Doosan vertical milling center.
• Set up and operation of a variety of manual machine tools: knee mill with Prototrak control, drill presses, tapping heads, manual lathe, surface grinder.
• Inspection of own work utilizing precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, drop dial indicators, electronic height gage.
• Hand work requiring manual dexterity: hand tapping threads, polishing, deburring.

• Must have attention to detail and strong personal initiative.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Basic math skills.
• Be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or two to five years related experience and/or education in Machining Technologies required.
